Cause CHANGE Collaborative (CCC) is excited to announce the launch of a bold new initiative designed to strengthen the substance use disorder recovery housing system from the ground up. The Recovery Housing Accelerator (RHA) opportunity is rooted in CCC’s commitment to supporting recovery homes and organizations that are: advancing best practices, increasing operational resilience, improving their supports for individuals prescribed medication as part of their recovery from opioids (MOUD), and who are interested in building their business sustainability. CCC focuses on systemic solutions that improve the reach, effectiveness, and equity of recovery housing across communities through a collaborative approach.
CCC has been funded to focus the RHA program on recovery home operators or owners who run a recovery home within Regional HealthCare Partnership, Region 7 in Texas, which includes the following counties: Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette and Lee. The RHA program will primarily focus on participants from the Central Texas region defined above. However, CCC is pleased to accept applications from recovery home operators outside of this region as there will be some spots available for recovery home operators in other parts of the country.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The program prioritizes real-world solutions informed by the lived experiences of people in recovery, as well as the expertise of operators, advocates, and thought leaders across the field.
Recovery homes that are selected to participate will have the opportunity to receive:
Targeted technical assistance and training
Peer networking and learning with a cohort of peers
Access to lived experience experts
All recovery home operators who are interested in participating must submit an application by the 3/29/26 deadline in order to be considered for potential participation. There will be two program participation options and operators will be asked to identify their participation preferences at the time of application.
EXPECTED IMPACT FOR PARTICIPANT RECOVERY HOMES:
Enhanced organizational financial sustainability
Strengthened organizational and operational resilience
Increased capacity for implementation and scaling of best practices related to individuals utilizing prescribed medication as part of their recovery
Enhanced network through participation in collaborative learning community
ELIGIBILITY:
Existing substance use recovery homes in the United States, both nonprofit and for-profit, are eligible to apply for this opportunity. The RHA program will primarily focus on participants from the Central Texas region (Travis, Hays, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee, and Bastrop counties).
CCC encourages applications from recovery homes that:
Are currently in operation (currently have residents)
Are serving high-risk or underserved populations
Are addressing critical capacity limitations in their state
Demonstrate a commitment to equitable and inclusive practices, including recognition that there are multiple pathways to recovery
Recognize that MOUD is considered a best practice and affirm that some residents may choose MOUD as part of their recovery journey
