Dissemination of data and research refers to the process of sharing findings with a wider audience to increase awareness and uptake. This includes using various methods to communicate data and research insights, methodologies, and analyses to different stakeholders, such as academics, practitioners, policymakers, and the public. Effective dissemination is crucial for maximizing the impact and benefits of our data and research as it helps ensure that findings are used in practice and inform policy and decision-making.
Below you will find some of the ways we are working to disseminate our data and research findings.
The 2025 National Conference on Addiction and Recovery Science (NCARS)
The National Conference on Addiction and Recovery Science (NCARS) aims to bring together researchers at all stages of training and experience to stimulate exchange of ideas and allow for the presentation of cutting-edge research across the spectrum of alcohol and other drug use disorders and affected populations. This is the first national conference specifically dedicated to substance use disorder recovery science. The Consortium on Addiction Recovery Science which hosts the conference is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse to increase understanding of recovery support services, particularly for people with opioid use disorder (OUD) who are using or have used OUD treatment medications, through research networking, training students and early career scientists, and building community partnerships. The CCF team is proud to have been selected to present at the 2025 NCARS conference alongside Dr. Fiona Conway of The University of Texas at Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work, Addiction Research Institute and Jason Pullin, Executive Director of Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network.
